Pratibha Agarwal is the founder and managing attorney of Agarwal Law Group PLLC, an immigration law firm serving individuals, families, and businesses throughout the United States. A child immigrant herself, Ms. Agarwal is passionate about helping clients achieve security, opportunity, and a better future through immigration law.
Before founding her firm, Ms. Agarwal practiced for approximately seven years at Jones Day, an international law firm consistently recognized among the most prestigious law firms in the world, where she handled complex litigation and internal investigations matters, including Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (FCPA) investigations. She later transitioned her practice to immigration law and founded Agarwal Law Group in 2017.
Ms. Agarwal earned her Juris Doctor from Georgetown University Law Center, graduating in the top third of her class. She also attended George Washington University earning a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology.
Over the years, Ms. Agarwal has built a reputation for handling complex immigration matters with both strategic insight and compassion. Her practice includes humanitarian immigration matters such as VAWA, T visas, and U visas, as well as family-based matters. Ms. Agarwal also represents corporations and non-profit organizations in sponsoring employment-based visas and green cards for their employees.
In addition to her legal practice, Ms. Agarwal has held numerous leadership and service roles within the legal community. She has served as Co-Chair of the Steering Committee for the DC Bar's Law Practice Management Community and has held leadership positions within the Women's Bar Association of the District of Columbia, including serving as Co-Chair of the Solo and Small Practice Forum. She has also served on the board of Just Neighbors, a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing immigration legal services to low-income immigrants and refugees.
Ms. Agarwal has appeared on national television to discuss immigration-related issues and is frequently recognized for her work in immigration law. She has been recognized by Washingtonian Magazine, Arlington Magazine, Northern Virginia Magazine, and Super Lawyers, among others, as one of the top immigration attorneys in the Washington, D.C. region. She was featured on the cover of Washington Lawyer, the DC Bar's official magazine, in October 2025.
